Lena M. Alexander, later Lena Duncan, (9 December 1899 – 29 March 1983) was a Scottish artist renowned for her captivating portrait and flower paintings executed primarily in pastel and watercolor. Her artistic journey began in Glasgow where she resided with her parents at Broughty Ferry before pursuing formal studies at the Glasgow School of Art, establishing herself as a significant figure within the Kirkcudbright School—a collective of artists drawn to the coastal town of Kirkcudbrightshire for its inspiring landscape and supportive artistic community.
