The Studio at Gobelins Michel Corneille the Younger lived his life within the walls of Paris, moving through the spaces of the Gobelins manufactory where he eventually spent his final days. He was born into a family of painters, the son of Michel Corneille the Elder. His early training began at home, under the steady hand of his father, before he sought out the guidance of Pierre Mignard and Charles Le Brun.
