He was born to Clifford and Alvina Jessup, though his formative years would eventually lead him away from the mountains of Idaho toward the bustling energy of the Pacific Northwest. It was in Seattle, Washington, that he was raised, a setting that would provide the backdrop for his early development and his eventua
l pursuit of a life dedicated to the canvas. His devotion to the craft of painting led him to the University of Washington, where he spent his student years honing his technical skill.
