Robert Burrows, malíř
Robert Burrows was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, in 1810. He was the eldest son of a silversmith, Robert Burrows, and Elizabeth Cordy. His connection to the local art community in Ipswich remained strong throughout his life. Shortly after Henry Davy established the Ipswich Society of Professional & Amateur Artists in 1832, Robert Burrows joined the group. He became deeply involved in the organization's inner workings, eventually taking on the role of secretary. This involvement placed him at the center of the local creative circle during a period of significant change in how people captured the world around them.
