The Life and Art of June Leaf June Leaf was an American visual artist whose creative practice spanned painting, drawing, and sculpture. Born in Chicago, United States, she studied ballet and later enrolled at the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she took classes with Hugo Weber. Her journey took her to Paris in 1948, where she focused on identifying patterns and abstraction. After returning to the Unit
ed States to earn her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Art Education from Roosevelt University and the Institute of Design, she returned to Paris on a Fulbright Grant for painting.
