Robert Eberle was born on 22 July 1815 in Meersburg, located on Lake Constance. His early development as a painter began under the instruction of J.J. Bidermann in Constance. In 1830, Eberle moved to Munich, a transition that shifted his trajectory from local instruction to formal academic rigor. He entered the Munich Art Academy, where he was supported by a scholarship.
