His early life was deeply connected to the Montmartre district, where his family lived on the Butte. As a child, he showed an early passion for art, purchasing artist colors at the age of ten and frequently visiting the Louvre. After completing his education at the École superieure Colbert, he trained as a technical draftsman in two architectural offices, Potier & Brunet and Laville. This technical background significantly shaped his artistic focus, as he eventually found employment as a technical draftsman for the Compagnie des autobus de Paris, a position he held until his retirement.

Quizet was a prominent figure within the circle of Montmartre painters, frequenting local establishments such as Chez Victor and Le Lapin Agile. His work often captured the essence of Parisian life and architecture, earning him a reputation as a significant chronicler of the old Montmartre district. His artistic journey included several prestigious milestones, such as exhibiting at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon de la Société des Beaux-Arts. In 1919, his painting La rue de Saules was acquired by the Musée du Luxembourg.
