A Life of Letters and Commerce Anders Odel lived a life defined by the intersection of intellectual pursuit and administrative duty in eighteenth-century Sweden. Born in 1718, he moved through the academic circles of Upsala as a student in 1738 before finding his footing within the bureaucratic structures of Stockholm.
