Jules Besson
Early Life and Artistic Training in Paris Jules Besson entered the world on 1 August 1868 in Paris. Growing up in the 10ᵗʰ arrondissement, he was immersed in the atmosphere of a city that served as the center of the French art world. His early years in Paris provided the foundation for a life dedicated to the canvas, leading him toward the formal study of painting at the prestigious École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts.
