Born in Munich, Allemagne, in 1870, Rudolf Petuel spent his life within the same city where he eventually died in 1937. His training began under the guidance of Diez, a period that helped shape his approach to both the canvas and the land. Beyond his work as a painter, he also practiced as a landscape architect, a dual focus that suggests a deep interest in how space and nature are structured and perceived.
