Nicholas Matthew Condy, often recognized as Nicholas Condy the Younger or Junior, was a British maritime painter whose life and work were deeply intertwined with the salt air and bustling naval energy of his native Devon. Born in 1816, he was the son of the landscape artist Nicholas Condy, and while the two are frequently conflated by historians, the younger Condy carved out a distinct and specialized niche within the realm of marine art.
