The Life and Training of Jacob van Huchtenburg
Jacob van Huchtenburg was a Dutch Golden Age painter born in Haarlem. He studied under Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem and later traveled to Italy, remaining in Rome until 1667. During his journey back to Holland, he spent more than a year in Paris. In 1669, he joined the Haarlem artists' guild. He eventually became well-to-do and lived on Prinsengracht, and his works are sometimes confounded with those of his brother, Jan.
His documented works include:
- Stag-Hunt (1674), located in the Museum of Berlin
- Fight with Robbers (1674), located in the Liechtenstein Museum at Vienna
