The Substance of Form and Origin Ivan Dryapachenko was a painter and graphic artist whose work was rooted in the specificities of the Ukrainian landscape and the human figure. Born in the village of Vasilyevka in the Poltava province of the Russian Empire, his technical foundation was built at the Kiev Drawing School between 1894 and 1898.
