A Life Between Two Shores Born in Vienna in 1889, Willy Eisenschitz was a man defined by movement and the shifting light of the Mediterranean. His early years were shaped by the formal rigor of the Academy in Vienna, where he enrolled in 1911, but the pull of French aesthetics proved too strong to resist.
