The Life and Art of Eugen John Eugen John was a German landscape painter and draftsman born in Berlin. He was the second son of the pianist and composer Carl Wilhelm John and Marie Emig. His artistic journey began with formal training at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf during 1885/86, and he also studied at the art school in Weimar.
