Early Life, Family and Training Albert Hoffsten was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 13, 1887. He grew up in a household led by his parents, Louis Hoffsten, who worked as a caretaker, and Johanna Christina Landelius. His early years in the Swedish capital provided the foundation for a life dedicated to visual expression, as he moved from the domestic sphere into the structured world of formal art education. took shape through his studies in Stockholm. He sought out instruction at Konstnärsförbundets skola, a significant institution for those pursuing the arts at the time. Seeking to further refine his skills, he also attended Konstnärsförbundets tredje skola.
