His professional path included several study trips to Holland and Paris. In 1734, he was certified as a Master after taking over his father's workshop. He was among the first students at the newly founded Kungliga Ritareakademien, where he studied drawing with Guillaume Taraval. His later works included decorations for the Queen at Svartsjö Palace, projects at Åkerö Manor, Erstavik Mansion, and the Chinese Pavilion.
