Early Life and Family Background Anders Eriksson entered the world on November 3, 1774, at the croft Teget, located in Ölmestads by within the Reftele socken. He was born into a modest existence, the son of the crofter Eric Svensson and Märta Andersdotter. The stability of his early years was cut short when his father passed away in 1783.
