      Meet the painter:

Život i rane godine Дејвида Хокнија

Дејвид Хокни se rodio 9. jula 1937. godine u Bradfordu, u zapadnom Jorkširu, u Engleskoj.

Artističko obrazovanje i školovanje u Britaniji

Pop art pokret i Los Anđeles

      Tehnika i evolucija vizuelnog jezika

Umetnička praksa koju sprovodi Дејвид Хокни predstavlja neprekidno kretanje između različitih načina posmatranja sveta. On nikada nije ostao ograničen okvirima samo jednog medija, slobodno istražujući puteve slikarstva, crteža, grafike i fotografije.

      Ključna dela i kultna slika

Godine 1961, u delu We Two Boys Together Clinging, istraživana je intimanost povezanosti kroz prizmu simbolizma i teksta.

Godine 1971, Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy spojili su osećaj prisrtanosti i karakterističnosti.

      Scenografija i operni projekti

      Nasleđe i globalno priznanje

Godine 2000. godine, Дејвид Хокни je primio prestižnu nagradu Laureate of the Praemium Imperiale za slikarstvo.

Njegovo mesto u kulturnom pejzažu dodatno je potvrđeno 2018. godine kada je imenovan za člana Ordena časti (Order of the Companion of Honour).
