Initially, Irolli focused on portraits and genre scenes, regularly exhibiting his work at the Naples Società Promotrice di Belle Arti from 1879 onwards. His participation extended internationally, with showings at the Salon in Paris – where he achieved considerable success – as well as London (1904), Munich (1909), and Barcelona (1911), earning a bronze medal in the latter.
