Nude on a Sofa (1751) is an oil on canvas painting by François Boucher. This particular pose was one of Boucher's favorite themes. It occurs repeatedly in his works. The painting represents the portrait of Louise O'Murphy, a young Irish woman who worked as Boucher's model and She was also the mistress (1753) of Louis XV.
