Born in Montreal, Canada, his creative practice has been deeply shaped by his time spent in both Mexico and Quebec. His work frequently explores the theme of identity through various mediums, including printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installation.
His artistic journey includes significant explorations of the concept of "the north," inspired by travels to the Northern Quebec territories and a stay in James Bay in 1979. This period led to the creation of the Nordic Suite, a large-format print composed of six sheets and their printing blocks. His work often examines the interrelationship between the print and the block, sometimes displaying them together to rethink the genre of printmaking.
