Sir Francis Bernard Dicksee, en berømt engelsk victoriansk maler og illustrator, blev født den 27. november 1853 i London, Storbritanniet. Hans far, Thomas Dicksee, som selv var maler, underviste Frank sammen med hans søster Margaret fra en tidlig alder.
