The Captured Moment
The work of Bogossian Dicran often begins with a specific, fleeting alignment of light and shadow. In pieces like DarmaEiffel, the focus rests on the precise second when sunlight pierces through heavy, threatening clouds. It is a study of how a single moment can change the weight of a landscape. Using materials such as American box, plexiglass, and digital art, the work seeks to find meaning in what might otherwise seem banal. The strength lies in the timing of the capture rather than the subject itself.
There is a quiet observation in the way the light interacts with the environment. The artist looks for these shifts, waiting for the atmosphere to reveal something hidden. It is a patient process of watching the sky and the way it breaks apart.
Presence and Horizon
In other works, such as L'humain à l'horizon, the focus shifts toward the intersection of the human element and the vastness of the coast. Working near the corniche of Marseille, the artist captures figures that cross into the frame, momentarily altering the view. These pieces, often rendered on paper using a medium format, deal with the way a person enters a landscape and leaves an impression on the eye.
The work has been recognized through exhibitions like the Arte Laguna Prize Art Exhibition in Venice. This involvement highlights a practice rooted in the immediate surroundings, where the horizon and the human presence meet in a quiet, unforced way.
