Born in Hansweert, Netherlands, Harry van Kruiningen was a prolific visual artist whose creative output spanned many disciplines. During the Second World War, he served as a resistance fighter, using a litho press to produce false identity papers and assisting communist refugees in finding safety. His professional journey included a period as a teacher of graphic techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem. Throughout his long career, he remained active in the art world, contributing to numerous exhibitions both within the Netherlands and abroad.

Van Kruiningen’s artistic practice was characterized by a mastery of various printmaking and painting techniques.
