The Architectural Legacy of Mathias Klotz
Mathias Klotz is a Chilean architect whose professional career has spanned over 30 years. Born in Santiago, Chile, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, graduating in 1991. His work is characterized as elegant and rooted in the Modernist tradition, earning him international recognition. In 2001, he was awarded the Borromini Prize of Architecture for under-40 architects. Beyond his private practice, Klotz serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Diego Portales University in Santiago, Chile, and holds positions as a visiting professor at various universities in Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, and Germany.
