aniela menkesowa, also known as aniela menkes, was a polish artist born in łódź, poland in 1897. she died in 1941. menkesowa was a painter and graphic artist, known for her figurative compositions. she studied at the warsaw school of fine arts and was associated with the avant-garde movement in poland.
