Following his studies in Paris at the Julian Academy and the Le Fauconier Workshop, he lived in Sanary-Sur-Mer and Cagnes, France. During the 1930s, Badi was an active participant in the "Paris Group" while residing in Milan and Paris. During World War II, he lived in Milan, contributing illustrations to publications such as The Lettura, Nuevo Corriere della Sera, and Martedì.
