His ceramic pieces often featured bulbous, hollow forms, some of which were monumental and standing, while others were smaller tabletop works. Prangenberg’s work is characterized by a profound engagement with the physical properties of his chosen media. In his ceramic work, he utilized terracotta and glass flux, creating surfaces marked by fingerprints, holes, notches, and incisions.
