A Life of Art and War

Between 1910 and 1912, he resided in Italy, creating landscapes inspired by the surroundings of Rome and Naples.
In 1909, he served as the set designer for the National Theater in Belgrade. Following the start of the Balkan War, Glišić returned to Serbia and joined the Second Army of Stepe Stepanović, participating in the Siege of Odrin. He continued to serve in the same army during World War I, during which time he painted scenes from the trenches and landscapes. He died in either 1915 or 1916 under unexplained circumstances.
