      Premières années et Débuts Artistiques (1882-1920s)

      • Né : 29 avril 1882, à Quiévry, Nord, France
      • Origines Familiales : Fils d'un artisan.
      • Formation : A fréquenté l’École des Beaux-Arts de Lille (1899-1901).
      • Influences Initiales : A exploré initialement l'impressionnisme et le post-impressionnisme. Exposé au Salon des Indépendants en 1906.
      • Installation à Paris : S’est installé à Paris en 1903, devenant partie intégrante de la communauté artistique vibrante.
      • Période Fauviste : A brièvement expérimenté les styles fauves avant de rencontrer le cubisme.
      • Exploration Cubiste : A étudié le cubisme de près grâce à sa proximité avec Pablo Picasso et Georges Braque aux ateliers du Bateau-Lavoir. A produit ses premières peintures cubistes vers 1913.

      Développement de l'Abstraction et Mouvements Clés (1920s-1940s)

      • Transition vers l’Abstraction : Dès 1917, Herbin s’est orienté vers une abstraction géométrique totale, influencé par le constructivisme.
