      • Il a reçu une éducation bourgeoise traditionnelle, fréquentant l'École Fénelon et se préparant au Lycée Condorcet.
      • Ses premières inclinations artistiques comprenaient le croquis et l'expérimentation avec la photographie à l'aide d'un appareil Brownie.
