Friedrich Eibner wasinterested primarily in architectural renditions. Beyond his Bavarian homeland,he also worked along the Rhine, in France, and in Northern Italy. On a trip toSpain in the entourage of Russian Prince Meshchersky, he produced numerousdrawings and watercolors, 65 of which the prince acquired and arranged toreproduce as a facsimile album. This expedition proved immensely fruitful for his legacy; Eibner produced a vast collection of drawings and watercolours, sixty-five of which were acquired by the Prince to be arranged into a magnificent facsimile album. This body of work remains a testament to his ability to translate foreign vistas into intimate, detailed records.
