His journey into the world of fine art began in 1944 when he encountered Rigaud Benoit, a talent scout for the newly established Centre d'Art in Port-au-Prince. This pivotal meeting set the stage for a career that would see him move from precise depictions of his hometown to the creation of entirely fantastical realms.
Duffaut’s artistic evolution is a journey from the tangible to the transcendent.
