In her works for the Greenland Room, Aka Høegh (born 1947) has depicted the four seasons in Greenland, or more accurately, in the south-western part of Greenland where she lives. In her landscapes she has one foot in romanticism and the other in modern pictorial art, predominantly in abstract expressionism. Her palette changes from the golden-blue of spring to the cool blue-white colours of winter when it arrives in Greenland. Author: Lisbeth Bonde, M.A and art critic. Photographer: Torben Eskerod.
