Joseph Hirsch was an American painter, illustrator, muralist, and teacher whose life’s work served as a profound vessel for social commentary. Born in Philadelphia, United States of America, he emerged from a rich artistic lineage, having been trained in the Philadelphia realist tradition of Thomas Eakins.
