Born in Hamburg, Germany, Carl Albrecht was a painter whose career spanned the late 19th and early 20th centuries. After training as a merchant and studying as a drawing teacher, he pursued his ambition to become a landscape painter. His studies took him to the Grand Ducal Art School in Weimar, where he was a student of Theodor Hagen.
