In 1591, the crown grants him 100 ducats for services rendered. By 1596, another gift of 100 ducats arrives, a gesture prompted by his state of emergency.
His work extends into the very fabric of Spanish monumental architecture. He participates in the decoration of El Escorial, contributing to the visual identity of one of the era's most significant royal sites. While much of his personal history remains obscured by the passing of centuries, his brush captures the movement of conflict and the stillness of devotion.

Holanda specializes in the depiction of battle, a genre requiring a keen eye for the chaos of the front lines. His canvases record the mechanics of war and the shifting tides of territory.
