Following her parents' divorce, she spent her youth in Geneva and Berlin before returning to Munich to live with her father, Paul Crodel. Her artistic journey led her to the Munich art world, where she became a member of the Neue Sezession and later a co-founder of the Munich artists' association "Die Juryfreien."
