Beskrivelse av samleobjektet

This stone object was made of amphibole from the Jangsu region in Korea. Such an object has been used since the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897), when objects made of amphibole from Jangsu were used on the king’s table. Infrared rays and minerals coming from the stone during the transfer of heat protect food nutrients and improve the taste of what we eat. Furthermore, the warmth of amphibole helps a person’s blood circulation. Amphibole is a healthy material that keeps the condition of both hot and cold foods as they are for a longer period of time.

Yoon Yongbin, whose stage name Lee Sae-on, is rapidly gaining recognition as a multifaceted artist hailing from Seoul, South Korea. Initially recognized for his musical talent – notably debuting in 2018 with the drama “Inspector 2 of the Devil” – he has since expanded his creative horizons into acting and even ventured into the realm of cultural performance as an instructor for Banana Culture.

  • Early Life & Influences: Born in Seoul in 1995, Lee Sae-on’s artistic journey began with a fascination for Korean art history and sculpture. • Artistic Style & Technique: Yongbin’s artistic style is characterized by a deliberate fusion of minimalist aesthetics and symbolic representation. He frequently employs sculptural forms, particularly amphibole objects—Korean stone vessels dating back to the Joseon Dynasty—to explore themes of heritage and transformation. These pieces are meticulously crafted, emphasizing textural detail and capturing the essence of ancient craftsmanship.
