Ivan Evgenevich Prosianoi, also known as Ivan Prosianyk, was a Russian artist born in Petropavlovsk village, Russian Federation, in 1924. His life unfolded against the backdrop of significant historical events, notably World War II and the Soviet era, shaping his artistic vision and output. As a gunner of the 4th Guards Motorcycle Battalion during the war, he gained invaluable combat experience and intelligence insights—a formative influence on his later work.
