Johanes Zechner is an Austrian visual artist born in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. His formal training began with studies in printmaking and painting at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts between 1972 and 1978, followed by time spent at the Royal College of Art in London. His practice is characterized by a continuous movement between various European cities, including Vienna, Cologne, Berlin, London, Prague, and Hamburg, as well as extensive travels to locations such as Ireland, Israel, India, the USA, Ghana, Patagonia, Yugoslavia, and Greece.
