A Life of Artistic Pursuit

Seeking a deeper education, he traveled to Venice in 1832, supported by his uncle. During his time at the Venice Academy, he studied under Lodovico Lipparini and eventually received the Prix de Rome, which allowed him to spend five years studying in Rome.
