During his time in Frankfurt, he maintained close contact with artists Charlotte Posenenske and Thomas Bayrle. In 1967, Roehr and Paul Maenz organized the exhibition Serielle Formationen at the Studio Galerie of the Goethe University Frankfurt, featuring works by artists such as Donald Judd and Piero Manzoni. Roehr passed away in Frankfurt am Main in 1968.
