Born in Nancy, France, Jacques Benoit was the grandson of Charles Benoit, who served as the Dean of the Faculty of Literature in Nancy. His professional life was marked by significant contributions to the understanding of sex hormones and the physiological effects of irradiation. He passed away in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
