Artistic Background and Education
Lisa Endriß is a German visual artist born in Landshut. Her academic training took place between 1989 and 1997, during which she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under Hans Baschang and at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in the USA through the MFA Programme. Her creative practice is centered on large-format works, often drawing motifs from the media landscape through a subversive lens.
Throughout her career, she has been represented by various institutions, including the Drawing Center in New York and the Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche in Osnabrück. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections, such as the Bavarian State Painting Collections in Munich, the Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf, and the Sammlung Goetz in Munich. She has also received several honors, including a DAAD scholarship for New York in 1996 and a fellowship for the Seaside Institute in Florida, USA, in 2005.
Exhibitions and Recognition
Endriß has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the United States. Her solo exhibitions have been held in locations such as the Galerie im Lenbachhaus in Munich, the Stadtgalerie Villa Dessauer in Bamberg, and the Laura Mars Gallery in Berlin. In 2018, she was invited by Professor Kasper König to participate in an Artist Talk at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Her artistic presence is further documented through various publications and film contributions, including a segment in the cultural magazine Capriccio on Bavarian Television.
