Sir Augustus Wall Callcott, en berömd engelsk landskapsmålare, föddes den 20 februari 1779 i Kensington Gravel Pits, en by i Londons västra utkant. Hans tidiga liv präglades av en passion för musik, vilket ledde till att han sjöng i kören i Westminster Abbey under flera år.
