Born in Angola in 1949, Ambroise Ngaimoko’s journey is inextricably linked to the tumultuous history of his homeland and its subsequent impact on his artistic vision. He arrived in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, as a young boy, fleeing the conflict of Angola's independence war with his family.
