Julian Fałat (Tuligłowy, near Lwów, 30 July 1853 – 9 July 1929, Bystra Śląska) stands as one of Poland’s most prolific watercolorists and arguably its foremost landscapist. Born in Tuliszewo, a village nestled near Łódź, Fałat's artistic journey began with formal training at the Kraków School of Fine Arts under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz before furthering his studies at the Art Academy of Munich – experiences that profoundly shaped his distinctive style and worldview.
