A Life in Color and Glass
Nicole Tremblay was a Canadian painter, muralist, and glass artist specializing in stained glass. Born in Jonquière, Canada, her artistic journey was shaped by rigorous training at the École des beaux-arts de Québec and the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. She furthered her expertise by studying at the atelier libre of Jordi Bonet and later completed a Master's degree in contemporary art history at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her technical mastery was further refined through a residency at the workshop of master glass artist Pierre Osterrath in Montréal.
Her diverse body of work spans various media, including acrylic and sand on carved wood, as well as intricate stained glass installations. Throughout her career, she collaborated with architects on numerous projects, ranging from murals in schools and community centers to large-scale stained glass works for religious and public spaces. Her art has been exhibited in locations such as Toronto, Paris, Monte-Carlo, Nice, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

In addition to her paintings and glasswork, she produced serigraphs, such as Osmond, symphonie pour une décade, created for the 100th anniversary of the Orchestre symphonique de la Montérégie. Her multifaceted career as a designer and educator saw her teaching at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
